Competitive Eating World Records

Being the webmaster of a site that celebrates extreme eating and irresponsible drinking, it should come as no surprise that I am a big fan of the International Federation of Competitive Eating (IFOCE).  They've managed to respectfully transform one of the Seven Deadly Sins into an illustrious family event.  The IFOCE is responsible for bringing us world-reknown competitions like the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest, and the Krystal Burger Square Off, but they are also the force behind dozens of other gluttonous galas.

On the IFOCE official website, you'll find a huge list of some ridiculous competitive eating records. I promise they will blow your mind.  Here are a few of my personal favorites:

  • 8.31 lbs of Vienna Sausages in 10 minutes set by Sonya Thomas (only 98 lbs)
  • 3.2 lbs of pickled beef tongue in 12 minutes set by Dominic Cardo
  • 1.75 lbs of salted butter in 5 minutes set by Don Lerman
  • 17.7 lbs of COW BRAINS in 15 minutes set by Takeru Kobayashi
  • 21 lbs of grits in 10 minutes set by Patrick Bertoletti
  • 118 jalepeno poppers in 10 minutes set by Joey Chestnut (current hot dog eating champion)
  • 8 lbs of mayonaisse in 8 minutes set by Oleg Zhornitskiy
There are a heck of a lot more that you need to give a look, so get your ass on it.  RECORDS
